New Forests was established on July 1, 2005 and has since experienced continuous growth, opening an office in Washington, DC in 2007 and another in San Francisco in 2008. The company has set targets to grow the business even further after announcing the sale of a minority equity position in the company to Generation Investment Management.New Forests currently has four shareholders. They are David Brand (Managing Director), John Rogers, Mirvac Capital Investments (previously James Fielding Investments) and Generation Investment Management.
