Ecological Products
As the global markets for environmental assets such as carbon, water and biodiversity grow, New Forests has the ability to commercialize ecosystem services as an alternative investment class. New Forests services investors with specific interests in alternative investments focused on environmental products. Initially, these types of investors, or the fund managers who represent them, will have a relatively higher threshold for risk and seek unexploited opportunities in the marketplace. Ecological Product investments will include the early commercial aggregation of ecosystem services credits with or without the underlying forest/land asset. These investments can support the development of innovative green products or provide a differentiated asset class in a diversified portfolio.
