New Forests seeks to identify investment opportunities that are outside the mainstream Timberland Investment Management Organisation (TIMO) model. We specialise in sourcing transactions that may have a mixture of returns including timber, energy products, carbon trading, water rights or water quality services and biodiversity or conservation banks and easements. With a focus on Australasia, New Forests is developing expertise in specialised geographic niches that have not been well serviced by existing forestry investment firms. New Forests can manage specialised timbers that have high market value and transactions with complex ownership or land interests that need to be addressed. The philosophy driving our investment is the creation of premium returns from adding value to traditional forestry management strategies.
