New Forests' flagship product in the Australia New Zealand region is the Australia New Zealand Forest Fund. Investment in Australia and New Zealand timberland provides exposure to relatively mature timber markets with upside from carbon and other eco products (e.g., water quality and salinity credits, biodiversity offsets). The investment thesis centres on rationalisation of the forestry plantation sector and reforesting former agricultural properties to manage for "timber plus" - timber plus environmental assets. New Forests has a sophisticated understanding of the emerging carbon markets in both countries, and New Zealand is currently the world's most active compliance market for forest carbon transactions.

New Forests also acts as an asset manager in the Australia New Zealand region for Cambium Global Timberland and other private accounts.
