Dr. Ben Guillon

Manager, Mitigation Investment and Policy

Dr. Ben Guillon, Manager, Mitigation Investment and Policy, oversees New Forests' investments in mitigation banks, water quality trading and environmental restoration projects. In this role, Ben leads origination, underwriting, acquisition and asset management of these investments for New Forests' US funds and is involved in investor relations. Prior to joining New Forests, Ben worked at the World Bank and International Finance Corporation with teams focused on environmental markets and the development of sustainable enterprises in emerging markets. He has an interdisciplinary background, including a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, a Masters' of Public Administration and Masters' degrees in Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, Environmental Humanities and Biology/Ecology. He is also a level 3 candidate in the CFA program. Ben is based in San Francisco and is currently the treasurer of the National Mitigation Banking Association.
