Dave Shelton

Director, Investment Programs

Dave Shelton, Director, Investment Programs, is the portfolio manager for the Australia New Zealand Forest Fund and manages the fund's acquisitions and disposal process. In these roles, Dave is responsible for investment strategy, sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, executing and structuring transactions, financial analysis, business planning, negotiation, due diligence and tax planning. Dave also oversees the investment process for separate accounts and co-invests in the Australia New Zealand region and has experience working on investment transactions and research projects in more than 15 countries, primarily in Australasia. Previously, Dave worked as a research manager and natural resource economics policy researcher for CSIRO, the peak national government body for scientific research in Australia. He managed multi-million dollar research projects on environmental services and assisted in the design of investment and incentive programs for natural resource management agencies. He has a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) from Charles Sturt University and a Master's of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Dave is based in Sydney.
