Dr. Hanafi Guciano
Indonesia Eco Products Coordinator
Dr. Hanafi Guciano, Indonesia Eco Products Coordinator, manages New Forests' Indonesian eco products business, including New Forests' REDD projects in Papua and carbon and biodiversity business development. Hanafi has extensive experience in venture capital, finance, project management and development issues in Indonesia. Before joining New Forests, he worked as an advisor on climate finance, REDD, green development, trade and finance industry issues to the Indonesian Government, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Forestry, BAPPENAS and provincial governments. He has also worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Price Waterhouse, Yamaichi Securities (Tokyo) and Danareksa (Indonesian investment bank) and was the founder and commissioner of the Jakarta Futures Exchange. Hanafi has a PhD from Australian National University in economics, a Master's degree from the Graduate School of International Development in the University of Japan and undergraduate degrees in economics (Pajajaran University) and in law (University of Tokyo). He is based in Bali, Indonesia.
