Kym Hooper

Chief Operating Officer

Kym Hooper, Chief Operating Officer, has over 25 years of finance and operational experience across financial services, including funds management, wealth management platforms, risk insurance and advisory businesses. She is responsible for overseeing New Forests' corporate and financial systems in support of the company's growing funds management business, working closely with directors in each region to coordinate company-wide functions and deliver consistent, high-quality services to clients. Prior to joining New Forests, Kym was a consultant to a private wealth management business which followed her role as Executive General Manager - CFO and Fund Services with Suncorp Wealth Management. Kym also worked for Asteron, the wealth management division of the Promina Group prior to its acquisition by Suncorp, as the Chief Operating Officer - Investment Services with responsibility for investment custody services and legacy wealth platform products. Kym was a member of the executive team of the wealth management division and held numerous executive director and committee roles. Kym has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Charles Sturt University in Australia and is a Certified Practising Accountant (Australia). She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Kym is based in Sydney.
