Offices
New Forests is based in Sydney, Australia, where the company began in 2005. In addition to corporate functions, the Sydney office oversees the forestry asset management business line. This includes managing the investment process for New Forests' financial clients and managing assets on behalf of clients for investments in Australasia and the Pacific Islands.
New Forests opened its first U.S. office in May 2007 in Washington, D.C. This office focuses on the ecological product business line and manages investments in environmental assets, primarily in the U.S. The office also supports global forestry, biodiversity and carbon investment activities.
In October 2007, New Forests expanded its U.S. operations to a second office in San Francisco to respond to global advisory and investment opportunities. The advisory services business line is run out of the San Francisco office, which also manages New Forests' corporate communications and marketing.
