Amanda Hawn

Amanda Hawn advises clients on strategies for commercializing environmental assets and transacting in environmental markets. She leads client-based advisory work and contributes to New Forests' ecological product transactions. Prior to joining New Forests, Amanda was the managing editor of the Ecosystem Marketplace, an online news and information portal covering carbon, water and biodiversity markets. She previously worked as a science journalist, covering the intersection of ecology and economics, with work appearing in The New York Times and The Economist. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton University and completed a Masters in ecology and evolutionary biology through a Princeton-in-Africa Fellowship at the University of Cape Town. She is based in San Francisco.
