Keith Lamb has 20 years of experience in professional forestry with private sector and government agencies. In his current role, Keith is responsible for all operational matters regarding New Forests’ assets under management in Australia and the Pacific, currently totaling 82,000 hectares. Prior to New Forests, Keith’s work as Carbon Pool Manager with Hancock Natural Resource Group Australia involved the development of new and innovative forest projects aimed at creating value from traditional timber as well as emerging opportunities in environmental services. Keith has over 10 years’ experience with government including operational, technical, policy, and planning roles with forest agencies in New South Wales and Victoria responsible for native and plantation forests. Keith spent two-and-a-half years with the Bureau of Rural Sciences, a Federal government agency contributing to development and implementation of national forest policy through the Regional Forest Agreements for East Gippsland and Central Gippsland. Keith’s work with the Victorian and Federal government agencies considered timber and other values in context of water production from Central Gippsland catchments. Keith has a Master of Forestry and a Graduate Diploma of Resource and Environmental Management from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Forest Science degree from the University of Melbourne.
