Maree Candish

Maree Candish leads New Forests' development and management of investments in the Asian region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and China. Maree will develop the business plan for the company’s Asian investments to ensure New Forests has the resources and business systems to operate successfully in this dynamic region. Maree has 20 years of experience in managing forestry operations and consulting on forestry investments in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and China the Philippines. She was previously working with Pöyry as manager of the Australian forestry consulting team and has worked with PF Olsen and Treecorp in senior management roles. Maree has a Bachelor in Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and a Masters in Forestry and Land Use from Oxford University.
